Plot[]
Division agents find an operative, Paul, strapped to a shopping cart. Sonya then gets police chatter about a body being found at the scene. At the moment, Paul is shot by an unknown sniper and the Division team is forced to withdraw as the police arrive.
This makes it their fourth agent in three days. An agent, Dina, believes it's Nikita though Amanda disagrees. Deanna complains to Sonia over Amanda, especially over her obsession with Alex. In Moscow, Alex is on the phone with Nikita, explaining her plans during her revisit to her childhood home to extract her mother. As soon as Nikita hangs up, Carla tries stressing that Amanda and Ari will find a way to take control of Zetrov with or without Alex. She pleads with Nikita to put aside her feelings for the greater good. Nikita disagrees. Just then, Michael and Birkhoff walk in, asking to speak with Nikita in private. As Carla goes outside, they reveal that someone is specifically targeting Percy's Gogol task force which he created a few years back when he felt that Sergei Semak was building his own army. It would seem that Gogol found out under Semak's lead as Ari is forced to comply. Nikita insists on saving these agents, to Birkhoff's displeasure, reasoning that Division is ripe for rebellion and they might make a new ally. Outside, Carla calls Percy and insists he move up the timetable in retaking Division. She also confides about Nikita not seeing her point-of-view. Percy suggests that she give her location so he can send Roan and Patrick but she refuses and asks what he intends to do about Amanda. Percy asks her to trust him. Nikita and Michael head to the next one on the list: Dia. Naturally, she starts shooting upon seeing them. Just then, another party drives in and captures Deanna. Nikita fights against one of the attackers before noticing a familiar knife. As the car drives away, Nikita realizes Percy is behind the attacks. Deanna is being held in a warehouse, interrogated over loudspeakers by Percy pretending to be Gogol over what Division intends to do with Alex. She escapes, as Percy expected, returning to Division to tell Amanda about the supposed Gogol involvement. Though Amanda tries to deny it, Deanna suggests that to stop the attacks, they should withdraw supporting Alex. Back at their safehouse, everyone tries brainstorming how Percy figured out the connection between Ari and Amanda. In Moscow, Alex finds Sean Pierce knocking at her hotel door, explaining that he's going to be her bodyguard. Moreover, he has brought equipment to erase the information on the last black box. He advises her not to be afraid that her mother will not come with her. Amanda calls Ari, explaining her suspicions that Percy is behind the attacks. He's attempting to rile Division against her and it's working. They both realize that Percy has found out about their relationship. With both their hands tied, Ari suggests that they find an independent contractor who can capture Percy. Nikita confronts Michael for keeping a picture of Cassandra and Max in his bags. She reminds him how dangerous it would be if anyone finds out about their identities. Just then, they get a call from Amanda. She suggests a trade: Percy for Ryan Fletcher. Realizing that he's alive, Nikita agrees. Working with Sonia, Birkhoff reveals that he had developed a back channel system that can track any agent, including the latest one, Caleb, after the last time he was kidnapped by Nikita. Carla pulls Nikita aside and tries to convince her that under the right leadership, Division can still be used to help people. Nikita disagrees, stating that Division is no shield but a sword that bleeds everything it touches. Carla then excuses herself, advising Percy to dumb Caleb's body. At that moment, Birkhoff has found Percy's location. Nikita then captures him. Bringing their former boss back to their safehouse, perfectly camouflaged, Birkhoff awakens him and attempts punch him, only to have his healing hand headbutted. Percy guesses they intend to trade him for Ryan and implies that Amanda won't play by the rules. Michael then sedates him. A location is arranged at an abandoned steel factory. Naturally, Amanda will be pulling a doublecross. A worried Carla moves to Percy's phone to inform both Roan and Patrick where Percy will be. The trade off begins. However, Percy is not in his intended place. Carla goes back for the phone only to discover it in Birkhoff's phone. He reveals that they suspected her of tipping off Percy about Ari and Amanda all along and used her when she texted Percy to trace his location. Roan thinks Percy is on the top floor when he is really going to run into a Division agent ready to fire a missile to take out all of Amanda's enemies. Birkhoff demands that she stand down, pointing a gun at her. Carla, having worked on death roll, states he doesn't have it in him to shoot. As she walks away, Birkhoff takes the shot, knocking her down. In deep pain, Carla manages to snatch an automatic gun, and starts shooting randomly. Birkhoff takes cover before incidentally shooting Carla in the stomach. He rushes first aid. Back at the factory, as soon as the exchange is made, Roan shoots Amanda's man, causing him to miss. Percy takes off in the confusion only to be cornered by Mason, whom he managed to convince to work for him. Roan then knocks him out. Elsewhere, Nikita pins Patrick beneath a pile of steel pipes before impaling him. Returning home, they find Carla badly wounded. With her dying breath, Carla expresses hope that Division can be saved because of how Nikita turned out. At the Udinov Mansion, after her interview, Alex and Sean head upstairs, only to find Katya's room empty, with flowers that hadn't been tended to in two weeks. They confront Ari, who denies any knowledge. Alex suspects that Semak doesn't trust him anymore. Ari states that he plans on eliminating Semak and make it look like an accident, pinned on a foreign intelligence agency with a deep cover mole. Sean then pulls Alex out of the room, suspecting that Ari wouldn't just tell her the truth. He then reveals that he had copied the files off of Ari's laptop. Searching through the files, they discover the identity of the mole: Cassandra. |
