Frustrated that Nikita continues to intercept his black boxes, Percy sends Michael to check on one of the boxes and the guardian attached to it. Nikita makes it to the small Pennsylvania town first and is shocked to find that the guardian is a normal woman named Dana who has abandoned her post and is attempting to live a normal life with her husband and child. Tensions mount when Michael is forced to report Dana's actions and Division swarms in to clean up any evidence of her existence. Meanwhile, Alex and Jaden get into an argument and Nathan gets caught in the middle.
Tensions are mounting at Division as rumours of Percy starting an operation named Operation Sparrow reach Michael and Nikita. At Nikita's apartment, Nikita and Michael discuss new information found by Michael; he has found the third Guardian. Nikita expresses her excitement at having found another Guardian at being "half-way to taking Percy down," despite Michael wanting to read the government secrets on the box and Nikita wishing to simply destroy. Michael then speculates on their future together, and the idea of them living in "domestic bliss" when everything is done.
Michael also tells Nikita that he grows closer to blowing his cover at Division, and cannot fight her and let her take the box as it would arose suspicion.

Meanwhile, Alex plans on telling an increasingly worried Nathan about she really is. When she actually does this, he laughs and claims disbelief, thinking she was actually involved with the Mob. Alex tries to make him believe her double life as a "government assassin", and that they can run away together. Nathan seems shocked, and tells her that it is a cruel way to break up with him. As he leaves, Jaden visits Alex on instructions from Percy. Whilst they talk, Nathan returns with some items of clothing, Alex has left in his apartment and jokingly asks "Who's this? Another government assassin?" Jaden becomes suspicious and decides to call this in. She and Alex soon get into an argument, which soon becomes physical. As Jaden attempts to stab Alex, Nathan, having heard the commotion, seizing Alex's gun and shoots Jaden, caught in the middle. Alex manages to calm Nathan enough to get him to return home, yet she has to call Nikita to ask for help as to what to do with Jaden. Being calmed, Alex calls Division to report an incident, and Roan arrives to clean up.
At the end of the episode, Alex is being debriefed by Amanda. As Amanda lets Alex leaves, she uses information salvaged from a new Division earpiece Jaden didn't know was planted on her. Amanda plays back audio captured by this earpiece of Alex's call to Nikita, and the last shot of the episode is of Amanda knocking Alex to the ground and presses her pump to her throat, claiming that she will find the truth about Alex.
