Plot[]
As intel from the CIA is received concerning an Uzbek money launderer Timur Ahemdov, Percy debriefs Michael that Kasim Tariq, the terrorist responsible for killing Michael’s wife and daughter, has re-emerged for a meeting. Percy sends Michael on an unofficial revenge mission to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on a ‘personal administrative leave’ since Percy would be unable to get sign-off for a proper operation in the 48-hour time span available.
Nikita realizes that Michael is leaving the country, but is unaware the exact location he is going to. She asks Alex to retrieve Michael’s tracker frequency from the computer database in medical, as Alex has temporary access due to her “arm injury” caused by a fight in Phoenix. Michael has a flashback to 2001 in Yemen, where he worked as Naval Intelligence. He is given receipts concerning bombings by Kasim Tariq, and told that they listed the people who killed U.S. Navy soldiers. Michael tells him he’s arranging protection for Kasim at the U.S. base for when it is found out that Kasim is passing information to the U.S. Navy Intelligence. As Kasim leaves, Michael’s wife, Elizabeth, arrives in a car with their daughter Hayley. Meanwhile, Alex has gone to medical on the complaint that her arm is very painful still. Dr. Hanson offers her some narcotics to alleviate the pain, to which Alex denies to ‘stay clean’, stating that Amanda mentioned that the “slightest taste and it’ll bring her back to junkie-town.” Dr. Hanson leaves the room to dig up non-narcotic pain-killers, and Alex uses this as an opportunity to access the medical hard drive and retrieve Michael’s tracker frequency. However, Dr. Hanson comes back before Alex can close the tab, and she minimizes it right before Hanson gives her the pain killers, but Hanson notices that it is still open on the computer. After Alex gives Nikita Michael’s tracking information, Nikita travels to Uzbekistan and enters Michael’s hotel room, and tells Michael she wants to help him with his mission, not stop him. Alex is called in to Dr. Hanson’s office, where he attempts to blackmail her into a sexual relationship in exchange for him not turning her in to Percy, stating that “a lot of things go under the radar.” Alex refuses and shoves Hanson away as he tries to grab her, to which Hanson responds by beginning to call security for help but is stopped when Alex stabs him in the neck with an unknown substance and flees. To save herself from getting in trouble with Division, Alex lures the ever-suspicious Jaden into a trap, taking a picture of Jaden and making it seem like Jaden was trying to escape Division. Thanks to the blackmail, Jaden is forced to help Alex cover up the incident with Dr. Hanson by serving as a witness, and Dr. Hanson is supposedly canceled. Nikita seduces Timur Ahmendov in the hotel lobby, stealing his room key card and phone and passing it over to Michael, who sneaks into Timur’s room and steals information from Timur’s computer. Percy is unhappy to find out that Michael is working with Nikita, and despite Amanda’s attempts to convince him that Michael is just being resourceful, decides to send in a Division strike team to kill Nikita at Kasim Tariq’s house. When Michael realizes the team is there, he attempts to help Nikita but is knocked out, and taken by Kasim’s men. Michael’s flashback to 2001 resumes, and Elizabeth and Michael drive into the the U.S. base in Yemen discussing future plans. As Michael gets out of the car, he receives a phone call from Kasim, and Michael realizes there is a bomb in his briefcase. However, he is too late, and the car with his wife and daughter inside is blown up, killing both of them. After Michael resumes consciousness, Nikita frees him from Kasim’s men, only to learn that Kasim is already headed towards the airport. Nikita tries to convince Michael that pursuing Kasim alone while injured is too dangerous, resulting in Michael deserting her to thwart any attempt of her to stop him. Nikita steals a police car and dispatches armed security guards at the airport, who tackle and capture Michael just moments away from killing Kasim as they board the airplane. In the end, Michael returns to Division, and tells Percy he should have never trusted Nikita in the first place. |
