Plot[]
Amanda and Ari get together for a super-secret meeting to talk things out. Ari tells Amanda that it is only a matter of time before Carla lets Nikita in on Amanda's big secret and ruins everything they have planned. Ari says the only way to change things is to set up Sergei Semak for Alex's murder.
Carla tells Nikita that Division was meant to give people a second chance, but Amanda corrupted it, as they disagreed over segregating recruits from departing agents. Nikita says Carla is their key to taking Amanda down and Carla needs to tell her everything she knows about Division. Carla explains that she and Amanda never got along, but she still does not know why Amanda wants her dead. But once Carla recognizes Ari Tasarov, Carla remembers that she met him years before when she spotted him with Amanda, though under an assumed alias. This leads Nikita to realize that Amanda wanted Carla dead because Carla was the only one who could connect Amanda and Ari. Alex calls Nikita & Company and tells them that Operation: Alexandra is about to kick off and Alex is going to make her big return at a Zetrov press conference. Sergei Semak is clearly shocked when Alex shows up at the event and declares her true identity. After Semak ends the press conference, Alex wants to make a deal -- she will disappear if he gives her 10% of Zetrov's funds (which is a significant amount in his opinion) and lets her leave with her mother, Katya Udinov. Instead of agreeing to Alex's deal, Semak orders Ari to have Alex killed. Ari sends an agent to kill Alex with a syringe full of drugs. Though the agent assumes Alex to be in the shower, she is actually hiding in the closet and ambushes her would-be killer. She then confronts Ari. Ari claims that he and Amanda are trying to take Semak down, just like Alex, and reveals to have recorded a confession from Semak planning her death. Alex then reveals to have an earpiece, having been forewarned by Nikita about their relationship. Nikita also has recorded Ari's confession and threatens to broadcast it over the hotel's PA if he doesn't help Alex. Ari passes Alex his radio to keep track of Gogol's movements within the building so she could outmaneuver them. Birkhoff manages to set up the recording on a tablet set to broadcast while Michael races to help Alex. Carla steals the tablet and plans to take Amanda down once and for all, believing that she can save Division. Luckily, Nikita manages to convince Carla to back off until they make sure Alex is safe. After several close calls, Alex ends up cornered in the laundry room. Luckily, an undercover Division agent helps her, enabling her to flee into the parking lot. As she emerges out the exit, Michael guns down Gogol agents from his car before Division picks her up. The next day, Alex returns for yet another press conference, where she announces that she will be taking her rightful place in her father's company. Meanwhile, Carla calls Percy to inform him of Amanda and Ari's alliance. She offers to help in exchange for restoring Division to its original function. |
