Season summary[]
In season one of this suspenseful series featuring international action star Maggie Q in the title role, the
charming and deadly Nikita waged a war against Division, the agency that created her. Michael - the man who trained her, a man she trusted - was hunting her. But Nikita had an ace up her sleeve: Alex, a girl she trained to infiltrate this secret unit of the government. At the end of season one, Nikita and Alex's relationship had been shattered, and Nikita and Michael's relationship was restored. Now, Nikita and Michael are on the run with a hard drive containing the government's darkest secrets and conspiracies.
Together, they are going to right the wrongs that Division has committed over the years, one mission at a time. But leading the hunt for them this time is Alex...and she knows all of Nikita's tricks. The series stars Maggie Q as Nikita, Lyndsy Fonseca as Alex, Shane West as Michael, Aaron Stanford as Birkhoff, with Melinda Clarke as Amanda and Xander Berkeley as Percy. NIKITA is from Warner Bros. Amanda demands to know where Nikita is hiding but Birkhoff refuses to give up his friend so she tortures him. Meanwhile, Alex sets her plan in motion to reclaim her father's empire. With a price on her head, Alex realizes the easiest way to get into Russia undetected is the same way she was smuggled out - through the illegal sex ring.

Back home in Russia, Alex finally makes her move on Semak.

Meanwhile, Sean is shot by Percy's men, shaking Alex to the core.

Unfortunately, Alex and Sean get caught at the very location that Percy blows up as an example of his power. Meanwhile, Nikita realizes the best way to stop Percy is to go into the belly of the beast – Division itself.

Nikita and Michael invade Division in an attempt to capture Percy. Alex and Sean get caught in a deadly gunfire battle with the U.S. Marines and Ryan must convince the President of the United States not to destroy Division until he is sure Nikita and Michael are safely out of the building, but the President is eager to end Percy’s reign. Meanwhile, Birkhoff asks Sonya for help, and Nikita corners Percy in his office, but he pulls out one final trick that may cost her the battle.

- Alberta Watson also played a character named Madeline on the USA networks tv series Le Femme Nikita, on which Nikita is based which is very ironic since on the Le Femme Nikita series Madeline was it's version of Nikita's Amanda.
- Nikita was moved to Friday nights airing along side the seventh Supernatural this season.
