Plot[]
Percy and Roan arrive at a CIA blacksite in Norway, posing as CIA. Percy speaks with one of the prisoners, offering to help him get revenge against the person who put him away in exchange for a favor. Roan then kills the guards.
Meanwhile, Nikita, Alex, Michael and Birkhoff are separately discussing what to do now that Ari and Amanda are on the run and Percy is loose. Both Nikita and Michael figure all they have to do is wait till Senator Madeline Pierce gets them their presidential pardons. They recieve a call from Sean, who informs them that there's been mysterious Division activity and his mother is being moved. A motorcyclist drives up and places a bomb on Madeline's car. Madeline is killed. The attacker then drives up in plain view of a traffic camera and takes off his helmet. Nikita recognizes him as Nicholas Brandt, an arms dealer she put away years ago. In a flashback to two years ago, Nikita reports to Percy on her progress in infiltrating Brandt's organization, intent on getting his stock of plutonium. With seeing the extent of his brutality, evidenced how he broke a worker's wife's arms, she decides to move up the timetable on his arrest. She also requests five minutes alone with Brandt in a room with no cameras to do some punishing of her own. Knowing that Brandt would try to stake out Madeline's funeral and that Sean wants revenge, Nikita and friends try to help out. Unfortunately, Nikita is captured by Brandt during the stakeout. Tied up in the basement of some house, Brandt tells Nikita that he will have satisfaction for every year he was in CIA custody and when she tortured him while with Division. Nikita insists that she was under orders but Brandt doesn't buy it and electrocutes her. He tells her that the woman who tortured him is what she really is and no one will love her if they knew. In a flashback to five years ago, Nikita finishes her session with Brandt. Percy tells her that the CIA will take over Brandt's interrogation as to the location of the plutonium. He can tell she is disturbed by her recent actions. He tells her there are monsters in the world and Division exists to stop them. Michael and company try to track down Brandt. They intercept a military police convoy carrying one of Brandt's associates but only get frenzied rambling about their previous conversations. Brandt becomes frustrated with his attempts to break Nikita and have her begging for her life. He calls Percy, refusing uphold his deal until he gets what he wants. Therefore, Percy has Sonia call Birkhoff to tell Michael that he should sacrifice himself, knowing that Brandt would kill him to break Nikita. Birkhoff gives Michael the digestible tracker he previously used on Madeline. Michael then goes to the rendezvous where he finds a camera, a glass obviously full of sedative and a note reading "Drink." As soon as he takes the drink and falls down, Brandt hands Roan the plutonium. Brandt brings an unconscious Michael back to his hideout. Nikita assumes he was captured. When he wakes up, he confesses that he actually gave himself up out of love for her. In response, Nikita berates him for giving himself up, insisting she had everything under control. She then confesses about what she believes to be her true self. Michael tells her that the part of her that is ruthless and cruel is not what defines all of her. Birkhoff had lost Michael's signal, guessing that he has been placed below ground. Luckily, he has placed him in the middle of a suburb. As he tries narrowing down the most inconspicuous place for Brandt to hide, Sean recalls his associate mentioning the foreclosure of his mother's house. Birkhoff gives him and Alex an address. Meanwhile, Nikita gets freed and fights Brandt. He nearly chokes her to death until Sean shoots him in the back. As he lays on the floor, gasping for air, Sean then walks up and shoots him in the head. Sean, accompanied by Alex, arrives at his mother's grave to say his goodbyes. Nikita apologizes to Michael for the insensitive things she say the other night. Michael assures that what she said didn't mean she doesn't love him, but that she doesn't love herself. The two then kiss. Nikita then makes a call to Percy to inform him that his plan to separate both herself and Michael has failed. However, Percy states that the objective was the plutonium. Nikita knows he has something planned and promises to stop it, remind him of what he said about monsters years ago. |
